Kokerlii he/him Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Hello! Figured it was time to join the ranks on the 17th Shard. I've read everything in the cosmere, and am working on finishing Arcanum Unbounded right now. Haven't read any of Alcatraz, but I'm not sure if that's part of the continuum. Someone let me know if it is. I'm fascinated by the interconnected nature of the worlds in the cosmere, and their strikingly simple explanations leading into chaotic, beautiful ages of story. Glad to join you on your journeys through this universe. I'll be around. 5
+Extesian he/him Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Welcome! This place makes reading Cosmere works so much better, and contributing to discussions and posting ideas adds to that 10 fold Alcatraz is not Cosmere but it is great fun! Is set on Earth but just a parallel universe version. And if by any chance your German (from the title), do you know Brandon will be in Leipzig this month? Of course you could be elsewhere in Germany (good chance) or I guess Austria or Switzerland (some chance). Or you could be from anywhere and just like the greeting (very good chance) 1

Kokerlii he/him Posted March 9, 2017 Author Posted March 9, 2017 Thanks to you both! I'm not in Germany, but I'll move there someday. I've been studying the language for a while off and on, along with 11 others. I've constructed a few artificial languages, and am working on writing a book from the perspective of someone given the task of creating language out of nothing, by a sort of "God" character. Language can be a huge insight into culture, and creating a language around a culture I want to illustrate can be helpful to readers and the story's universe (also it's lots of fun). I've also studied world religions a good bit, and made a fairly in depth satire story about the real story behind Genesis, wherein two brothers create the universe, the earth, and everything on it, for entirely obtuse reasons, then discover their creations are really quite weird. Two idiots with complete, unchecked power over the universe. Someday I'll finish both and post them somewhere... Thanks for the warm welcome guys!
