Bondsmiths. what are they.

I need to know this. everybody keeps talking about them and i dont have a real idea of what they actually are. Shardblades and nightblood were mentioned sevseral times along with shards and splinters.  

 

Sorry if im asking questions too frequently. Or too stupidly.
