Dalinar's blade at the end WoR

I need some clarification: at the end of WoR Dalinar bonds the Stormfather, and when he summons his blade to get rid of it, as the Stormfather required, he hears the scream, as if it was a shardblade.  My confusion lies in the fact that I was understanding that this blade was Talenel's honorblade, which Dalinar had bonded after Talenel was brought to the plains, and which he used to trick Amaram into showing his true colors.  Kaladin, after Szeth is beaten, is told by Syl to recover the blade that Szeth had--after refusing to let him ever touch a shardblade--and it turns out he can hold that blade without hearing the screams of a dead spren--so honorblades are not dead spren....but Dalinar hears the screams when he summons his blade at the end of WoR.....am I missing something?  Or am I way off?  Was this not Talenel's blade?  Or was Talenel not really Talenel?  Or is Talenel's honorblade really somewhere else, and was switched by someone for a "common" shardblade?

The blade the man called Taln was holding at the end of WoK was not the blade that arrived with him in WoR. Re-check the descriptions of the blades, they're different.

Read down here for WoBs on the matter.

Like Spoolofwhool said, the blades are different and we do not know who switched them out.  Also, as Spoolofwhool hinted, we don't know if this is really Taln.  Brandon refers to him as the man called Taln so that seems like it is not really Taln.

Related info that is a spoiler for his Alcatraz books.

Spoiler

Brandon always made sure to say that Alcatraz would only write five books and not that there will only be five books.  Then we all found out that there will be a sixth book written by a different in book character so it was consistant with what Brandon had been saying.  Since Brandon is doing a similar thing here, it casts doubt as to this really being Taln.

Ahh. Thank you both. I'll have to go back and pay more attention to the blade descriptions. I had wondered if this was the actual Talenel, but for now am assuming it is. I had begun to consider that maybe something had happened to the honorblade without their knowledge. Thanks for the direction everyone!
