Here's his profile. As of right now, his last visit was Jan 27th, when he posted some notes about Mistborn: Secret History. Before that, he hadn't posted since 2012. So, technically speaking, yes, he has been here. But only for special occasions.

If you'd like to meet him in person, you can check when and where he's having signings and find one that would be reasonable for your parents to take you to. Brandon keeps a list on his website, and there's a tour happening soon that he doesn't have listed on that page yet (but was announced here).

He'll sometimes interact with fans on Twitter or Reddit - I'm not on either of them, so I just lurk, but when he posts a writing update on Reddit, especially, he'll reply to people asking questions about it.

Hope some of these help - good luck getting a hold of him, somehow!

Not really. You can try contacting him via his website, though.

One of the reasons he doesn't visit anymore is because of how much the site has grown over the years. The sheer volume of ideas floating around might influence his writing, and he wants to avoid that (though he also has he's gotten pretty good at not being influenced by readers' theories - but best be safe, I suppose). Peter, his assistant, roams these fields occasionally, and I believe he passes whatever relevant feedback he can find, but the forums are generally not a good way to reach Brandon. Twitter is sometimes a good platform to get a direct reply from him, and Reddit is usually better if you have a an interesting thread going. Email is, of course, the surest way to get your thoughts to him - general "I love your books!" kind of emails will probably be filtered out by whoever assistant is helping him with email (or, rather, not filtered out but bundled with other similar emails), but I believe he does hear about his more... unique readers. Such as the younger ones :)
