Hello shardians,  17ers? Is there a collective noun for Sanderson fans?

Anyways,  I signed up for the same reason as most. Sanderson is one of my favorite authors, right along side Terry Pratchett,  Earnest Cline,  Tom Holt and a couple dozen others. The intricacies of the commerce are intriguing.  I've read all the books a couple of times and finally decided to check out the online community.  I've found plenty of interesting theories so far. I can tell this forum will take up way too much of my time.

It's 'Sharders'.

Can I interest you in a welcome cookie?

Hello! Have the customary upvote, and a warning (see below).

I wouldn't recommend the cookies; they have some unpleasant side-effects.

I second Elenion's warning. The cookies are not something you want to have Ruin your life.

Anyway, welcome to the forum! I like your display name, by the way. :) I guess we're also know as Sanderfans, but I use "Sharders" about the same amount.

Welcome, iydigs.

We are the Sharders (that is the collective term) and we offer you our allomantic-chouta!

Have you read Warbreaker?

Yes. I listened to the graphic audio too.  The book is better but the GA was fun. My favorite Sanderson is the Stormlight Archive. I noticed Hoid has some breaths. At least that's my assumption since he says he became pitch perfect. I also really liked the Rithmatist. To be honest I like them all,  but those are my favorites.

I think the only Sanderson I haven't read is the prose of White Sands and the new Alcatraz book. Both are on my reading list, but that list is long. Though, I'll probably move them to the top and skip a bunch of other stuff, but Brent Weeks next book is out in October.  Might decide to reread that series in anticipation.

Doesn't do me much good without some lerasium, but sounds tastier than a cookie.

The metals have a disturbing tendency to penetrate the flesh, making them unburnable. Once embedded, they also have a side effect of causing you to hear voices.
