Best work combo for twinborn?

Question

Posted

There are a bunch of posts about best combination of allomantic and feruchemal for fighting/fun, but what would  be the best for working? I would have to say an allomantic tin and feruchemal zinc twinborn for surgeon. With the tin the surgeon would be able to see everything, to an exact point, and with the zinc he could plan his movements carefully and have time to react in stressful quick situations.

For any intellectual task, Allomantic Bendalloy and Feruchemical Copper or Zinc would be really strong. Copper essentially allows you to create copper metalminds similar to what Sazed used for history, and burning bendalloy means you don't spend nearly as much time doing so.

A diver would benefit from Feruchemic Cadmium and Allomantic Pewter. Their bodies, while burning Pewter, would be able to withstand greater pressures, and tapping a cadmiummind would let them breathe underwater.

A Tin Compounder would make an excellent scout; being able to both compound tin, as well as burn it regularly, means that they would be able to vastly increase their sensory capabilities. Becoming a savant might be a very likely possibility here.

A bodyguard with Allomantic Tin and Feruchemical Bronze would allow him to stay awake and alert for extended periods of time - which is a good thing when your job is protecting someone.

depends a lot on the kind of work, I suppose.  for example, it is hard to imagine any allomantic power being particularly useful in say computer programming, but ferruchemical zinc could be, so perhaps the best for that would be zinc compounding.  likewise if you are a professional gambler, the ability to compound luck would likely be more useful than anything else.  in fact, i suspect that for a lot of jobs, being able to compound the most useful attribute for that work would probably be the most useful.

Anything requiring physical labor would have to be a pewter/pewter twinborn. Imagine that pewter compounding power...

You spend all of your non-work hours storing up strength, then burn it when needed as you work. Throw in being a savant on top of this and you'll be the most wealthy blue-collar worker who ever lived!
