Question

Just a quick question, does anyone know if Stormwardens retain the rights to succession on Roshar?

Say the son of a highprince was a stormwarden, would they inherit if the highprince died, or would it go to the next in line because they're a stormwarden?

I don't know for sure, but I suspect not. That is, I don't think that the inheritance would pass over a stormwarden, especially if it was the highprincedom. "Stormwarden" is simply a job/hobby thing, though it does make people uncomfortable and they tend to subvert plenty of tradition. I don't know if a highprince's heir would be allowed to become a stormwarden at all. If both the highprince and heir were deemed ineligible to rule (or, you know, they were both killed) and the next in line were a stormwarden, or had those inclinations, those activities would likely be pressured away by the upper class and those closest to the person, as these activities are seen as shameful.

Not sure myself. I know an ardent cannot but stormwardens are not of the ardentia. I don't recall any other occupations that specifically disinherit a person.
