That’s how I thought it worked, When the other Kandra talked about Identity and Investiture. Might be mistaken but that’s how I viewed it. Alluminium Feruchemy is used to craft them but they have not an Alluminium component in them. A Medallion is properly made by an unsealed Nicrosolmind, for convenience the Medallions have also metals of the rightful types to use the Feruchemical Powers they gift without the Need to find a piece of the right metal...but those are not part of the tech
