Hello! Name's Rasarr, and I'm a writer... well, aspiring writer, at any rate. Also an adept online cheerleader and a Person Who Never Understands Sarcasm, Ever. I've got drawn into the forums after reading through the pages of threads on translating codes and scripts of Stormlight Archive and becoming enamored with your hive mind-esque skills at theorizing and figuring stuff out. 

 

I got introduced to Cosmere by Alloy of Law cover in the local bookstore, which had the title translated to my native tongue so clunkily, I just had to check out what's up with it. As you can guess, the translated title didn't do the book justice. Fast forward half a year, I've got pretty much everything read and have begun the process of re-reading. (It's a cycle. I read, re-read, then read stuff that has come out during the re-read, then re-read again...) Favourite is probably Stormlight Archive and it's many, many mysteries, which explains how I found myself here.

 

If you offer me cookies, I'll probably decline. Unless they're with chocolate, then I'll probably steal the whole plate.

Welcome! I am, and I'm sure many others are like you in that we reread books, especially those by Brandon Sanderson. Also, I am not so sure eating an entire plate of any cookies is safe these days. The Dark Alley has been quite crafty recently.

The Dark Alley treats hemalurgy as a spice.  You'll find that all of their cookies have a rather metallic flavor to them.  But, you know, if that's your thing...

Hmmm. I'd certainly take it under consideration. What's the fine print?

And, while I'm asking questions, just what is the Dark Alley?

It's not a cosmere reference so much as a 17th Shard reference. It refers to a clan within the site "devoted to science!" Or in other words, giving people power through hemalurgic means. So don't take any desserts on this site. Trust me.

Ages ago someone made a poll of what your favorite magic system was and I was the only one who picked Hemalurgy, so someone created a 'list of people to avoid in Dark Alleys' eventually I decided to just make a guild out of it, stop by the social guilds and check it out if you're curious.

I was introduced to the Cosmere by the Stormlight Archive which I enjoyed immensely although my favourite would be The Rithmatist which I literally finished 10 minutes ago.

Having had some time to lurk around, I did notice that the Dark Alley adds some spiky... surprises to their cookies.
