el_warko he/him Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 I ain't saying she a gold digger uh uh. But she ain't messin' with no broke Kholin uh uh. Now that thats out of the way. Pretty lady comes to court and plays two brothers off each other. Where have we heard this before? (I point my pointy finger of accusation at you Narvani). Realistically, either will suit her purpose (in terms of saving House Davar), but I'm in the Rock camp. Sometimes a girl just needs a big burly Horneater. Any which way it will be interesting. 1
Gamma Fiend he/him Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 Shallan and Rock! Perfect! Will they be known as Shock? And Shallan becoming the King's new Wit... holy crap! I didn't even think of that possibility. That could very well happen.Although admittedly, my like of Shallan waxes and wanes. I very thoroughly enjoy reading her narrative, always makes me laugh. But then when I reflect back, I just have a bad taste in my mouth, so to say. Just evaluating her overall.... she's kind of rhymes with a witch. She's just so darn full of herself. Yes, she's smart as hell and as quick as a whip. But half the time she's either the frightened shy girl (admittedly moreso in the beginning, not as much at the end) or just goes to the other extreme of overly confident. It just seems she likes to revel in how much smarter she is than everybody else (save Jasnah, of course)But I think her and Adolin would make a potentially great couple. She could balance Adolin out, get him to slow down and appreciate women. And as said before, he does appreciate good wit.But I dunno. This whole idea of 'shipping' characters just seems so... weird to me. I've never really thought too much into the romantic side of characters and their psyches. I've always figured if the author wanted us to see two people together, they'll write it up for us.I mean, who else knows these characters better than the authors? 1
11thorderknight Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 Well, Dalinar just gave away his Plate to Renarin, but alas, has no Blade to give. Where could we find a spare Shardblade?
Colby Jack he/him Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 So essentially, Shallan will give Renarin her shard and in return he'll give her his D? It's not exactly the way how I would imagine the situation would play out, but hey, it could happen. 1
