Full Metal Rithmatist Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 This username may be my magnum opus. 4
Elbereth she/her Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 Hi! Welcome to the 17th Shard! I do like your username. Which Sanderson books have you read?
Elbereth she/her Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 (edited) I approve of your use of Avengers pics. Have you read any of the short stories then? Edited December 2, 2015 by Ookla the Star-Goddess
skaa he/him Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 (edited) Welcome! At first I thought "Fullmetal Feruchemist" would have been better (because of the "metal" part and the "-chemist" part), but considering Rithmatic circles, I'll admit that Rithmatists are indeed more similar to FMA-style alchemists. Elbereth she/her Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 (edited) There are some short stories online for free: The Hope Of Elantris, a short story that takes place during Elantris (this is Cosmere, obviously); and then Firstborn and Defending Elysium (my personal favorite), which are both non-Cosmere. The other short stories are available in ebooks or anthologies generally, and two of them are Cosmere: Sixth of the Dusk, Shadows for Silence in the Forests of Hell (both Cosmere), and Mitosis (Reckoners short). I might be missing one, though... So there you go. Edited December 2, 2015 by Ookla the Star-Goddess 1
Young Bard he/him Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 I might be missing one, though... There are some really obscure ones out there, which I haven't been able to get my hands on. One, co-written by Ethan Skarstedt, is called the "Heuristic Algorithm and Reasoning Response Engine". One, included in the Games Creatures Play anthology, he wrote one called "Dreamer". One, available for free on Brandon's website here, is called Centrifugal, which he wrote in high school. And then there's the Emperor's Soul, one of the greatest pieces of non-novel writing I have ever read. 1
