I've been formulating an idea based on ground up mushrooms, since Kaladin complains about soulcast meat tasting moldy. I was thinking it might be seitan-ish. Ish. I don't like seitan much.

But if the soulcast meat chunks have a vegetarian real-world counterpart, what about the gravy? If this is the kind of stuff that comes from a street vendor, then it would make sense that they would use the drippings and grease as much as possible. Then again, I don't know much when it comes to vegetarian cuisine, so maybe there is vegetarian gravy.
