Hey!

 

Just wanted to introduce myself. I joined this forum because it was long in coming. About me, well...

 

I am really quite obsessed with the Stormlight Archive, even though I am going to be dead by the time he finishes the darn thing! Ah well, I then moved onto the Mistborn Series which I really enjoyed. I have read most of Sanderson's novels and novellas to date, minus the Alcatraz series and a couple of his very first novels. If you were to look into my copy in the WOK you would see my characteristically sloppy handwriting covering all the sides. His style and different voices in writing really drew me in and now I am here to stay! None of my friends understand my love for these books but thats what the internet is for. Right?

How'd ya guess? I have read WOR over 7 times and WOK at least twice. Yeah, I love that series. Can't wait for book three!

There's about a year wait for #3, assuming Brandon's schedule doesn't kill him. Also, have you read Elantris? You said you haven't read some of his early works, so I'm just curious which ones those are.

You are right, Blaze, I have not read Elantris. Along with The Emperor's Soul, The Wheel of Time or The Rithmatist series. I am getting there, but I am finishing Shadows of Self at the moment. 

 

I do know who Hoid is, although would always like to know more! I had no idea for what to use as a username, so just chose this one. I am pretty new to the Cosmere in general however, so I might be stumbling into waters, I really know nothing about! Since joining, I have discovered that Sanderson fans can get pretty involved with theories, quotes, citations, the magic systems and WoB's (Love the terminology!)! I have never seen a fan base like it. So excited to learn and theorize with you guys!

I would recommend Elantris/The Emperor's Soul first, so that you don't get spoilered by accident while looking around. Rithmatist isn't mentioned so often, and Wheel of Time just takes so long to get through.
