kroen
Recently the sequel series to Heroes has started, called Heroes: Reborn. If you don't know what it's about, then it's about some people all around the world suddenly getting superpowers. The original series aired years long before Steelheart hit the shelves, so that's not what I'm talking about. Actually, aside from the supowerpowers (which, by the way, almost all have weaknesses) there's little resemblance to The Reckoners; see while there are villains, there are also many heroes and yet some that are neither. Actually if anything I'd wager Steelheart was at least partially inspired by Heroes. But we're here to talk about Heroes: Reborn. In the series, there's a company that's developing technologies based on evo powers (evos=the people with powers) and powered by actual evos (think motivators). That alone didn't make me suspect it was inspired by The Reckoners... until I heard how their first product was called: Epic. It was called Epic. Coincidence? I think not.
