Guest Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 (edited) So since the book releases in just a few hours, I thought it might be fun to post some of your theories about what is going to be in the book and then come back in a few days and see how everyone's predictions panned out. A few quick reminders, if you're going to mention anything in the already released chapters use spoiler tags, and when you come back to see how (in)accurate you were, definitely use spoiler tags. Here's the first part of my list. Will finish it when I get off work We will have at least 1 viewpoint chapter from someone storing "Identity" Wax, Wayne, or Marasi are going to have a face-to-face conversation with a Kandra, and they'll know it. We'll meet either a Leecher or a Nicroburst, perhaps just in passing. More information on how Time Bubbles interact with motion and/or each other. If we're lucky, maybe even exact numbers on the rates. There will be at least 1 compounder (probably not naturally) in the book. I think either Speed or Weight. Wax or Wayne will end the book with at least 1 Hemalurgic Spike (likely accidental), or Marasi will get one voluntarily. Edit: additional ideas Edited October 6, 2015 by LabRat

Jo and the Bush all/any Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 I really like the idea about Marasai getting a spike. Maybe She'll get the speed spike to counter her own slow bubble? She can slow everyone around her down, then speed up to communicate with people outside the bubble. Kurkistan will produce another Dozen FTL ideas. Marsh will end up dying fighting the Set. Wax's sister is one of the villains. Hoid will pick Marasai up when she's down, and set her on the path to becoming greater than Vin ever was. Peter will make another Cameo. Lessie's Murderer is a Kandra. Wayne will meet Hoid and the fandom will explode. 2

Jo and the Bush all/any Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Ha! 2 correct theories! Oh Shards, I can't wait to read this on Saturday. Why do I have to wait until Saturday!?
Argent he/him Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Well, one and a half. Maybe one and three quarters. The fandom didn't explode as a result of Wayne & Hoid's meeting. Also, minus points because Kurk hasn't come with even a single new FTL theory. It's been two days, if it hasn't happened, it won't happen.

(Probably, based on Wax speeding up after becoming lighter in his chase scene.) Assuming this is non-relativistic momentum (super unlikely), one simply has to become sufficiently fast at a heavy enough weight, and then you can use your mechanical Feruchemy to lighten up and go past lightspeed. 1
