At least until they turn off their powers. Hero of Ages spoiler: After getting his spike, Spook does mention being able to drink and not get drunk to be one of the unsung advantages of pewter. I don't think indefinitely is the correct term here. Just like even a thug can't take limitless physical punishment, I don't think they could take limitless chemical punishment.
