darkanimereal1 Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 I also suspect that horses came with humans to Roshar. They stick out like a sore thumb among all the weirdness that is Roshar flora and fauna. This goes for chickens as well. Either that, or something very strange happened in Shinovar, where these animals can live naturally. Well, that something strange is that they don't have highstorms. I just think it odd that horses are not native to Roshar. Do we know for sure that Ryshadium are actually horses? Like, are they just a different breed, or are they a different animal all together?
Elwynn Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 (edited) I also suspect that horses came with humans to Roshar. They stick out like a sore thumb among all the weirdness that is Roshar flora and fauna. This goes for chickens as well. Excellent catch happy. I KNOW for a fact I have read a quote from sanderson along the lines of, "...humans and horses are not native to [Roshar]..." but now it seems to have gone *poof*. Zas, or WInd, help me out here. Why can't I find this quote? I know we have seen it before. Edited May 9, 2013 by Elwynn
Windrunner he/him Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 It's a common theory, but I'm not sure there's a quote... I'll keep looking for it, but I'm not sure it exists. Also, you should probably know that Zas won't be around for over a year, he's gone on mission.
Elwynn Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Also, you should probably know that Zas won't be around for over a year, he's gone on mission. Doh. I totally knew that. Can't believe I forgot.
Meg Posted May 22, 2013 Author Posted May 22, 2013 I've tried to find that said quote/reference but I didn't get it. Only this already given about the sentient beings. Windrunner, may I ask, too, if you could have a look for it?
Galavantes Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 Now I'm not saying this is the case....but bear with me. Let's look at the name: Rhyshadium. Other objects have had the same format: Lerasium, Atium. Rhysha sounds like a woman's name. Honor calls Cultivation a woman. Just a possibility. 1
makromag he/him Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 Well, that would be kind of anticlimatic. Lerasium and ati get the most powerful metals on their planet, Aona gets the AonDor, Skai gets the Skaze and what does Cultivation get? A horse that can't even talk. Poor Cultivation
Phantom Monstrosity Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 The planet has a different focus. As such, mistborn travelling to it must carry and consume a wide variety of horses. 2
Shardbearer he/him Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 (edited) [snark] The Rhyshadium are offspring of Honor and Cultivation's romantic involvement.[/snark] "Where Cultivation and Honor romantically involved?" Quote YES. Edited May 24, 2013 by shardbearer
Galavantes Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 Is Ryshadium close enough to Rayse? I considered the same thing, but it doesn't really seem to fit.

Lerasium and ati get the most powerful metals on their planet, Aona gets the AonDor, Skai gets the Skaze and what does Cultivation get? A horse that can't even talk. Poor Cultivation Giant super-magical Surge-ponies. Not horses that can't even talk!
makromag he/him Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 Well, Gallant doesn't seem to be overly hateful, I guess we will have to wait for his PoV book to get a peek behind his quite and peaceful facade and finally see his true face - he might even be the male counterpart to Bella, who as we all know, is the Creator.

Oh, thanks a bunch for spoiling the end of WoT for me. Great.
