If you steal allomancy with a spike are you still drawing from preservation with the correct mind nozzle you stole. Or is it Ruins investiture this time. Cos harmony could have put a stop to a lot of ruins chullocks if he stopped giving investiture to the spikeyboys(although i guess that would be against the rules of their weird gentlemens agreement). Also So in theory a misting could use stormlight to replicate any of the allomantic powers rather than being limited to 1 if they learned how to draw it in and form a new mind nozzle? Seeing as they have the sDNA to use investiture but are just stuck with 1 mind nozzle? And apparantly raw investiture can be used with any mind nozzle and isnt limited to the metal? Sorry this post is crazy (i do enjoy using the phrase mind nozzle though) When you use Hemalurgy, you are using Ruin's power to break off a piece of a soul (Spiritual DNA, or sDNA). When the Spike is jammed into another person, Ruin's power rips a hole in that new persons sDNA and then patches the hole with the stolen sDNA. From that point on, the recipient is (mostly) treated as if they had been born with that sDNA. As for Preservation not granting power to the Inquisitors, that wasn't an option. If you have the sDNA, you can access the power, Preservation isn't "granting access" every time someone burns a metal.

In theory, you can power most systems with any Investiture. It may be difficult to power Allomancy with Stormlight (though I imagine the benefits would be immense, and it'd be a lot more powerful), and we're not sure on the exact mechanics. The metals serve to act as nozzles, so perhaps you have to shove Stormlight through some metal to get an Allomantic effect... or perhaps you have to learn how to do a mind nozzle thing. It's unclear. We're not sure on this nozzle thing. It's come from one WoB, and we're still puzzling through theories on it. 3
