The gameplay is basically like terraria, it would seem, except you can visit other planets which are all procedurally generated. Oh, enemies are procedurally generated as well. The dev team are really awesome and have a great vision for this game. The gameplay is a bit like Terraria, but only in the way Half-life is like Wolf 3d. Everything is dialed up to 11, with 6+ races to play as, spaceships, procedurally generated weapons, monsters, dungeons. At the very least, I'll be following TB and Jesse's videos on it, but they did sell me on Terraria, so I might end up buying this as well.
