Today is 17th Shard's Fifth Birthday

Five years ago on this very day, 17th Shard Forums was made. (For proof you can look at when I registered: http://www.17thshard.com/forum/user/1-chaos/)

That initial launch was truly horrendous. I pray to merciful Harmony that you don't remember what the site looked like back then. But, as things progressed, the site got better. We moved to new software, which has powered everything, including our news module, for a few years now. Eventually, we became the official forums for Brandon, which still humbles me to this day that we actually do that.

Not only that, but last year was the hugest year for us yet. Maybe you didn't know, but last month actually had the second most posts here ever, at 13,000. This has only been topped by March 2014, which because of Words of Radiance's release had 18,000 posts.

I can only imagine how big the site will become in five more years, but I hope you love it here.

The next year in particular will have some pretty cool stuff coming your way. And this month, know that there is not only the Coppermind's giveaway, but another big giveaway, too!

Thank you, everyone. This place is yours, and you made it so awesome. Here's to many more years together

although i don't post a lot, i come onto this forum pretty much every day. So from the bottom of my heart, and i think there are a lot of other people like me, thank you so much for all your work! This really is an amazing forum, there's no doubt about that.

Wow, I may have only been a member for just under 2 years now, but i truly love this forum and the discussions that we can have on here. i know i lived a great life before i read Brandon's books and joined 17th Shard, but now i can literally not imagine my life whithout them!

 

Thank you to all the admins and members of this amazing Forum, there is none other like it! Here is to another 5 amazing years
