Arook he/him Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Its not Atium per say that your using but using Atium as a gate for power that is why Using atium is not good at influence plus it only lasts for like a minute at a time. The lord ruler most likely used the bracers as a method inserting Atium and that the Atium on the outside of the bracers is easily replaced and the inner stuff allows it to connect so he is able to burn the Atium that is technically connected or maybe the spikes has slots for Atium beads to be inserted. Swallowing the Atium would destroy much of it but just cutting a hole in your body is much more effective.

If you're prepared enough the Atium wouldn't even touch your stomach acid before you'd finished burning it, you could maybe have .001% more but TLR wasn't exactly short on Atium.

As I said he'd burn the metal way faster than his stomach acid would destroy it. It would indeed, although significantly less intimidating.
