WayneSpren he/him Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 I'm going to pre-order it and Bands of Mourning soon. Is that a good idea or should I wait until it gets cheaper? Is anyone else going to order it? 1
Kaymyth she/her Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 Are you kidding? I pre-ordered Shadows of Self, Bands of Mourning, and the new Jim Butcher steampunk novel all in one go. And Amazon has a pre-order price guarantee that will match any price-drops that happen between now and release. Unless you're talking about waiting for the paperback, in which case you have far more self-control than any mere mortal should possess. So many delicious books coming out...
Gabriele she/her Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 I'm waiting for the paperback. Seriously, right now the hardcover is 20% more expensive than the much larger Words of Radiance. That's highway robbery.
Kestrel she/her Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 I might. Yeah. I probably will, eventually. Or I might pre-order it the day or two before.
Young Bard he/him Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 Surprisingly, I find my local bookstore is usually slightly cheaper than Amazon for the hardcover, and it's usually quite prompt. Plus, it helps local business. I think you'll find that most people pre-order here, though, unless I miss my guess.
Orlion Blight he/him Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 I might pre-order them at my local bookshop... however, every time I've done that in the past, it always arrives after the release date
