Red Ferring he/him Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Wax's Twinborn name is catchy, simple, and intuitive. A Coinshot Skimmer is a Crasher. The connection is clear. One who manipulates body weight and pushes on (or away from) metal is a force to be reckoned with. Crashing into things seems a natural occurrence with this combo. Wayne is a Slider Bloodmaker. His use of the power is very clever and effective, making his fighting style one-on-one and healing any wounds before leaving the bubble. What catchy, simple, and intuitive name would Scadrians give a Twinborn like Wayne? I wish I had an idea of my own to start off the topic. Someone get the creative juices flowing! 1
WeiryWriter he/him Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Constant. At least that's the name given to Allomantic bendalloy/Feruchemcial gold in the Alloy of Law supplement for the Mistborn Adventure Game. (Here's a chart I made of the 80 or so names they came up with for the supplement.) 1
yurisses Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 Trapper is catchy. Doesn't only apply to Bloodmakers, though.
Guest Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 I think a Pulser/Bloodmaker would be a Trapper. You Trap them inside your Slow Time, and can make the fight last a VERY long time while friends bring backup
Guest Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 Wayne's tactics could name him an Isolater, but that would be Wayne-specific

(Here's a chart I made of the 80 or so names they came up with for the supplement.) So those are the names from the MAG? And until contradicted by Brandon, they're canon right? honestly a lot of the names there don't seem to carry the flavor of names Brandon gives the various mistings/ferrings. Which is understandable considering he didn't write them. So I see them being overwritten easily in future books where they become relevant. Edited June 2, 2015 by Red Ferring
derrickthewhite Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 For what its worth, the mentioned list gives compounders their own names, and any twinborn with a solid compounding ability is probably going to be known just as a 'gold compounder' or a 'steel compounder'. And in many cases they are in a category of their own as to power. Some compounding isn't as impressive though: An iron compounder is probably less useful than a skimmer.

In AoL, Wax and Wayne call Miles a "double gold" which I think carries enough weight on its own, not needing more of a distinction. Btw, a double iron is still a skimmer. Just also a lurcher. and yes, compounded, the access to near infinite weight is not so useful unless you wanted to cause some great gravity-induced damage Edited June 2, 2015 by Red Ferring
WayneSpren he/him Posted June 2, 2015 Posted June 2, 2015 A BloodStopper. The Stopper is because he kind of stops time outside of the bubble. (Not completely) 2
Lord Tavash Shar Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 I Don't know what your on about. A double Iron Balloonist seems pretty intuitive to me.

You are forgetting the influence your weight has on Ironpulling strength.
Guest Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 Or you can Ironpull. You are forgetting the influence your weight has on Ironpulling strength. I mentioned a while back that a Double Iron with a Nicroburst could do things like yank tanks off their treads and rip down buildings, and it was very correctly pointed out to me that those things would then be flying towards someone with zero survival powers... it's a good trick, but if you can't do it twice its likely not a good idea.

There's a reason why the nickname for double iron is "Deader". 1

Ha! But could you imagine a "suicide lurcher" going in doing that trick on everything in all directions?! Decimate whole cities! But for survival, if you quickly stored weight and pulled on something at the side to pull yourself out of harm's way!
XenosHg Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 I have trouble understanding "plotter" (cadmiu-bronze). How can it work? Having 2 different titles for a combination is not so bad - even Thugs/Pewterarms have 2.
