Kurkistan he/him Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 (edited) As it turns out, the other stormlight wiki is a bit better than us about a few topics. I was thinking of taking a few hours and blatantly stealing all of their cool stuff. What's our policy on that? On a related note, are there any high-level talks going on to partner up with one or more of our sister-wikis? I know there's a decent mistborn one, at least. It would be nice if we could get some of the great guys (and gals) over there, who have a very narrow, but effective focus, to lend some of their time to keeping articles of mutual interest up to date in the Coppermind. P.S. Forgive me if this has been asked before, but I didn't find a similar topic here on the forums. Edited February 12, 2013 by Kurkistan
Rubix he/him Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 If you "blatantly steal all of their cool stuff", that's blatantly stealing, and frankly, I don't want to deal with even the possibility of a copyright suit. It's against the rules, and action may be taken against you for violating them. There have been some talks, but they weren't very successful. Unless you hear from us that things have changed, the answer is no. 1
Chaos he/him Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 To add to Josh, the answer is indeed no. But it is not a bad idea to look at SA wikia and "be inspired" with how you can improve articles here. But yeah, definitely do not steal text outright.
