Barbrey
Just read Emperor of Souls last night and couldn't believe how much it had to say about the challenges Brandon had to face in writing Wheel of Time. An Emperor who starts out strong with real talent and ambition, but becomes self-indulgent, then loses his soul and here comes a brilliant forger, working from his journal and notes, to forge it back to him tweaked, not real, but so nobody can really tell the difference. I could have a field day with this! Lots of writers are notorious for describing the writing process through metaphor in their books; with Sanderson it's over the top! Made a simple little fantasy tale much more enjoyable.
FlashWrogan he/him
Never made this connection, and I have a feeling that it was not an intentional thing on Brandon's part. That doesn't make the comparison less valid though .
