In the forward to The Alloy of Law, Brandon said that the Mistborn series would advance through time, with a trilogy focusing on present day, and a trilogy focusing on the future, all with Allomancy. I think this is a great idea, and I can't wait to read these books. However, this brings up a theory:

In the future, I assume Scadrial will develop space travel. This would develop all kinds of interesting uses of Allomancy in space, but it would also mean discovering other planets.

I wonder if the inhabitants of Scadrial will come across, or even visit the other planets in the Cosmere, such as Sel or Roshar, without having to use Shadesmar to travel. It seems possible, since all the planets are in the same dwarf galaxy.

I wonder what would happen if any two worlds collided...

Thoughts on this theory?

Yes the third trilogy will feature other Shardworlds, it's supposed to be the series with the most cosmere stuff I think.

While the third trilogy will have more overt cosmere stuff, such as Hoid as a more major character like in Stormlight, I don't think it will be the serious with the most cosmere content. Brandon wants to write a "conflux" book that's separate from his other series.

It's pretty much a given that the worlds will eventually converge. Maybe not all but multiples. I think the first major one we'll see is the hinted Warbreaker-related scene in the epilogue for Stormlight 2.
