Locking/Closing Our Own Threads

I've searched and couldnt find anything like this, so here's my idea,

So we can go to our own threads, and by the place where, on the first thing we say, there is "Edit" "Quote" and "Multi-Quote". We could also have "Lock Thread" or "Close Thread". Only on the post that began the thread, not the others. They all say "Delete Post" instead. It would help the Staff and Admins, sometimes. And it would also be useful when you know your idea's been scrapped.

I would personally prefer if you wish to close your own post, you just post in the topic asking an admin or moderator to close it. It would certainly be possible, but I still prefer that extra layer of oversight.
