So, Lately RTS games have been kinda neglected in the gaming community, the last goo one was Starcraft II.....

And then.....

AND THEN.......

GREY GOO CAME OUT! :-)

So, anybody else happy the classic RTS is coming back?

(and no, LOL is NOT an RTS, by my definition.)

I've seen this, and I wish my laptop was powerful enough to play anything stronger than protein modeling software.

Want a good cheap RTS that's easy on your computer, try Druids Duel.

Its like chess but with wizards!

I'm an old Command and Conquer adict (see my avatar? That's Kane, the main antagonist). And then Tiberium Twilight came out.

Tiberium Wars (Kane's Wrath expansion) is still my all time favorite RTS, though. (with Age of Empires a close second.)

I was an old Warcraft fan long before WOW came out, Orcs and Humans was my introduction to video games and if my computer could still play it I'd still be playing. the sequel managed to improve it even further while the third one had great story line but was a lot less fun from a gameplay perspective. And then there's Starcraft which I still think is the greatest RTS ever and the sequels were nothing to sneeze at either. Finally age of empires II which is a close second for best ever in my mind in fact I've probably spent more time playing this than any other game. Also Empire at war, while ground combat was a chore the space battles were Epic. The one thing that I didn't like was that Forces of Corruption gave us a sequel hook ending that Disney has said they won't be making. Still battlefront is getting a reboot so I can hold out hope.

I grew up with Age of Mythology, played a little Age of Empires but could never enjoy it as much. Later on I played through Starcraft from the original to Wings of Liberty. tLotR Battle for Middle Earth games were probably my favorites, although I don't own 2 anymore and never had the expansion pack.
