Ah yes :) those are good books.

Hm.

A girl gets abducted by a bear who she later has to save from a princess with a nose only pinnochio could compete with.

Now that sounds suspiciously along the lines of 'The Seventh Son' which was based off The spooks books by Joseph Delaney

Wait wait they made a movie?!

I loved those books....until my library got multiple copies of both UK and US versions that were titled differently and I couldn't keep track of what book was what....

Princess, bear....sounds like Brave but not quite?

Yeah, i javent personally seen it yet but its definitely on my list to watch :D

Honestly, i have no idea if ive read tha last book or not. I have a feeling my library may not have owned it yet when i was reading them... may have to look into that..

Nope and nope.

Edit: well. More specifically a fairy tale.

Is it called something like East of the Moon? It involves the north/s/e/w winds as personalities? And ice I think?

I think I read a retelling of it but I don't remember the exact title.

Yup! East of the Sun, West of the moon (close enough :P)

Yes the winds help the girl to find the castle and take her there.

Please, do yourself a favor and don't watch that film. It spits in the face of the entire series with its plot and characters. If you've read The Lightning Thief and then watched the movie, you understand what I mean. This is that situition on another level.

The Lightning Thief was a pretty pathetic movie...point taken. Thanks :)

Is the shirt special in any way? Likely it's a mark of status, or armor or something non normal?

Nope. Perfectly normal shirt. A little fancy I think, but perfectly ordinary.

Pathetic? Feeble? Perhaps but Pathetic? na. I guess it depends on which way you look at it but the Director tried to make it different to the books, and I thought it was fine. Sea of Monsters though *shudders* worse than pathetic

Also, more hints please? Your hint is both specific and vague, strange i know

I just found his acceptance of being a hero uinrealistic. IIRC, one moment he was all "what the hell is this I don't even I'm going back home" and the next minute he was "rawr I am the hero!!"

Okay. That hint was more about the compliment than the shirt. This story also involves a video-game playing, sad loner sidekick.

Not specifically, I had to google the name, but I can definitely see why you would make that connection.

This story also involves organs. Outside of bodies. And some inside bodies, but not necessarily inside people, per se.

sounds like an organ harvesting operation. Perhaps Alex Rider?

Why was Kronos even there

Nope!

Okay here another clue. The supernatural is involved in this story. I wouldn't call it urban fantasy but it could maybe technically be categorised like that.
