Kobold King he/him Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 If this is in the wrong place, feel free to move or delete this as the mods see fit. In my settings I have the option to ignore forum signatures or even entire people. I'd like to block out an individual's profile picture without ignoring the member altogether. Is that possible?
Kobold King he/him Posted February 20, 2015 Author Posted February 20, 2015 Whose profile pic? Someone had to ask. Not yours.
Guest Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 Well, duh. I have a Nazgul Panda. Obviously it's not mine.

Is the profile pic lurid, perverted, or otherwise improper for general viewing? If so, perhaps a mod could force the guy to change it. Some forum members are kids, after all.

I'm a little bit squeamish about spiders, and there's a person with a close-up portrait of a spider's face in all its many-eyed glory as his profile picture. The guy's awesome and I don't want to miss his posts, so I just want to know if I can ignore his avatar while still being able to see his comments and hear his opinions. That's all.

I don't have a problem with spiders or even snakes, but there's a few things in the animal kingdom that make me make this face: Like bees. Large numbers of bees make me make that face. 1
Guest Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 (edited) Oh, I see. I know who you're referring to now. I'm squeamish about ponies, myself. Edited February 21, 2015 by Snoopy

Guest Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 It's more of a certainty. I'm just in preventative action right now.
Moogle Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 (edited) If you have Adblock Plus, just right click the avatar and click Adblock Plus: Block image. If you only have "Block element" because you're in Chrome: Instead of doing that right click the image, open the image in a new tab, then right click the image when it's all by itself in a new tab and hit "Block element". Add the filter and reload 17th Shard. If you don't have Adblock Plus... I'm not sure how you can handle the internet without going insane, but your mental fortitude is greater than mine. I recommend it. (If you mess up and want to bring back the avatar, go to Adblock Plus options and then under "Add your own filters", just remove your filter there.)
