Wizard World Con

I have never been to any Comic-Con type events and I must admit to itching to go. The issue I am having is that I live in an area that seems to be devoid of events of this type, that is until I found the Wizard World events. Upon first discovering their site (www.wizardworld.com) I thought that this might be the one to hit. 

 

I would be going to the Raleigh convention, but when looking at the special guest list, it looks like other than a couple they scraped the bottom of the barrel to get guests (David Faustino, Really?). This also looks like it is more centered on mainstream stuff than what I would expect. 

 

Would you drop $75 for this? Is it too late to start work on a mistcloak? Have you ever been to one of these events?
