neuxue Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 It would be awesome if this series climaxed with 10 new 'Radiants' stepping forward and forming a new Oathpact with the Nightwatcher to prevent Odium's reign. Kaladin, Dalinar, Shallan, Jasnah, Szeth (please? I know he isn't a surgebinder, but can we please have Nightblood destroy evil all over Odium's butt?), Lift and a few others could become the new Heralds! Not supported by hard fact at all, but wouldn't it be awesome? And I don't think it's been straight up refuted... I like this idea, if only because there are so many parallels drawn between Talenelat and Kaladin that for most of TWoK I was convinced Kaladin was Taln, returning before the Desolation, unable to remember his past 'self' due to the fact that the rest of the Heralds abandoned the Oathpact. (Then of course Kaladin turned out to be a KR instead, and thus my theory died a very sad death) So maybe the parallels are coincidental, or just me seeing things that aren't there, but I'm joining the 'not supported by hard fact at all [but not] straight up refuted' side on this theory. 1
