Eerongal he/him Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 Link Seriously jealous. You can pay a $300 installation fee and get 5/1 mbps down/up for *FREE* for 7 years. D:
Rubix he/him Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 Or you can pay 70 (Which is what Centurylink charges around here for 40 mbps, which we have) and get a full 1gbps, and waive the installation fee. Do want.

Do want. Yeah, i know, right? 70 bucks is like 10 bucks more than i'm paying for 12 mpbs. So for 10 bucks, i could get roughly 80x my current connection speed? I would be totally game. You also get a free nexus 7 if you sign up for the TV package.
Rubix he/him Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 Yup. It's official. I want me some Google fiber. like... Nao.
Eerongal he/him Posted July 27, 2012 Author Posted July 27, 2012 Yup. It's official. I want me some Google fiber. like... Nao. so....i'll meet you in KC then, roomie? (note: this could totally sway me to move to KC at some point. Like easily)
Rubix he/him Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 Maybe. I just hope it's a big hit, so they can expand outward, say to Utah.

Would be nice, but my assumption is they're likely to just hit the major markets at first, and possibly not even go further than that. So they they got KC in the midwest, so next would be like new york, somewhere in florida, houston, chicago, LA, and things like that. At least that's pretty much what my gut feeling tells me My fingers are crossed, though
Rubix he/him Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 Now I just hope that they'll do Salt Lake City.
Chaos he/him Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 Yeah, i know, right? 70 bucks is like 10 bucks more than i'm paying for 12 mpbs. So for 10 bucks, i could get roughly 80x my current connection speed? I would be totally game. Yeah I pay 50$ for 15Mbps. This is all totally and completely awesome. And Montana will never ever get it.
