Weazel Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 So in 2005 I was randomly wandering the BYU bookstore and saw Elantris, tried reading it (I never read much), and put it on the shelf for another year because I got confused by names of things in the first 3 pages alone (defintely never read fantasy/sci-fi). Once I actually sat down and read it I have read nothing but fantasy/sci-fi with Brandon being my favorite author and reading all his books while recommending them to anyone I meet or know. Long story short, I have lent my hardcover out to so many people it is falling apart and am wanting to find a nice copy for myself. Would love to find a 1st edition 1st printing, signed or not, (I will travel to get that signed). So if anyone knows where I could purchase one please let me know. Checked ebay, no 1st edition 1st printing I'm afraid. But throw me a link or contact me if you know where I might find one. It is honestly the first book I read as an adult and made me fall in love with this genre. Thanks, BIG FAN WEAZEL
Shivertongue he/him Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 I have one, and it's signed, but it's on my bookshelf. xD Good luck with the search, and welcome to 17th Shard!
Weazel Posted July 13, 2012 Author Posted July 13, 2012 I am trying to find out what my first book was, I know its first edition with the number 0987654321, anyone know what printing that was? Would love to keep as my "pristine" book, but some of the family I loaned it out to spilled a drink on it.
firstRainbowRose she/her Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 That is indeed a first edition. My suggestion is e-mail Peter. Ask him if Brandon has any first editions in the werehouse, and if he does how much it'd be to get it. That's your best bet right now.
Weazel Posted July 13, 2012 Author Posted July 13, 2012 Thanks for the welcome! I'll check with Peter. I am pretty sure mine is a 1st print, but like I said, with the big liquid stains it defeats the purpose but still love loaning it out to anyone wanting a great book!
Athe1andonlyA he/him Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 I have a 1st edition 1st print that i would be willing to part with. ISBN 0-765-31177-1
