Hello, and welcome to the Shard! Mind telling us what Cosmere books you've read?

I finished the Cosmere, besides three books, a year ago, but I was completely finished ~6 months ago.

I'm a fellow Cosmere and WoT fan.

Welcome to the 17th shard! I'm -ACE-

If you could have any single ability from all of the cosmere (ex: a single surge, be a misting, or anything else) what would it be?

Do you plan on just talking about cosmere stuffs, or would you like to join the entertainment discussions?

What Radiant Order's Oaths resonate the most with you?

I don't know what "entertainment discussions" are, but as for getting a power, the 10th heightening wouldn't hurt, but that's probably cheating. More realistically I'd probably do 1) Gravitation for flight and high speed travel, 2) Bondsmith Adhesion for those sweet, sweet Spiritual Realm Connection shenanigans, or 3) Progression because I can heal people.

I like the Dustbringer ideals. Responsibility and self control are the cornerstones of further virtue.

That does not answer CoderDrag0n8's question on reread

Good choices. The entertainment discussions are a section of the shard (Under community) What I really meant to ask is if you are going to join the community section, where we don't talk specifically about Sanderson theory and such, but rather just chat or play forum games

Hi do you like Social Deduction Games like Mafia/Werewolf? If yes, visit us in the Sanderson Elimination Subforum. Sign Ups for the next Game are still open.

Yeah I like Werewolf, but, at least from my skimming of it, it seems a bit too complicated for me, plus I've never Role-played and don't have Discord. (Neither the app nor shard)

Yeah I might. I'm most interested in the Cosmere mechanics discussions, but I might see if I can get some more book recommendations.

Just to clarify, Roleplay is not a requirement and SE is purely played on the Shard

Ok, I can look into it.

Yeah. If you've got fantasy books with similar sexual content levels to the Cosmere or less, I'm all ears. I like WoT and the Attack on Titan Manga if that helps. In terms of literature, I really like Great Gatspy, Dune, and Anne of Green Gables. I also liked the picture of Dorian Grey, and I'm ~75% through Anna Karenina right now and I like it. If you have some recommendations for books like those I'd like them too.

Ok so I have a book recommendation, but I like to give people these 3 warnings first.

1. It is really long. It totals at 551 chapters, but it never feels slow.
2. It is a webnovel. It is only available on the internet (or the good one, at least) and the physical copies you may find in the library or bookstore aren't as good, and are still unfinished (but are still an option)
3. It is a Korean translation, which means the translators might not have done a super good job in translating it, so there might be grammar errors or things that just don't feel right.

It is my favorite book, although it is so long it's more accurate to call it a book series, like the cosmere.

If you don't want to read it, I wont push any farther (as I have had problems in the past), but it is a fantasy apocolyptic isekai style book with one the most amazing protagonists, settings, and plots out of all the books I have read. Also, if you do start reading it, there is a group chat on the shard that I would like permission to add you too, filled with other readers (most who are on the first 10 chapters after being in the chat for almost a year) reading the same book.

It's name is Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint, the best online translation I have found is here: orv.pages.dev/stories/orv/read/ch_1, and if that link doesn't work, PM me so I can help iron out the details (because I have done this many times before)

Sorry if this post was too long, I hope you end up reading it!

No, it's not too long! Is there an audiobook for it though? I don't actually read read books that often. I probably average ~2 a year. I mostly just stick with audiobooks.

There is an audiobook, but it has the same problems as the physical books.

If you want to start with the audio book (get it from a local library or buy it on amazon) you can, but if you want to read it to the end with the best possible translation, I recommend using the link I gave you.

I can back him up btw. It’s good

I’m on the sequel(almost 1050 chapters in) and I cannot wait for the next chapter release
