Wit's jar? [Possible spoilers up to half way of Oathbringer]

4. I could've tried Hoid instead, and I did, but still... So many RoW and WaW spoiler-alert topics there to be able to check them properly!

So yeah, sorry not sorry.

Okay! Let's get into business. I'm loving that I'm finding more and more AHA! moments through time in the Cosmere books. So here I was reading Oathbringer chapter 67 in which Veil listens to Wit's tale about the moons of Roshar. Then he recognizes her, ends the story, Veil takes a quick look at his bag, and there it was...

a small jar, sealed at the top. It was mostly black, but the side pointed toward her was instead white.

When I was reading "a small jar" my first automatic though was allomancy, yay! 

But then came the black and white colors. Could it be that this jar contains sand from Taldain, the world where White Sand takes place? That could also explain why/how he knew it was her under the disguise.

Maybe I'm getting it all wrong, but... Just needed to share it!

Very clever. This technique with the sand is going to keep coming up, but you have some of it figured out already.
