Mystfall He/Him Posted July 9 Posted July 9 (edited) Title is kinda self explanatory, but also not. Anyways, in 2018 Brandon wrote a novella for Magic: The Gathering called “Children of the Nameless”. I’ve never read it, and I was wondering if I should, but the main thing is that I have never seen anyone mention it. I don’t even see it here on the Shard anywhere. Is that because it’s a different companies intellectual property or something? Or like, is it just a terrible novella or something so no one brings it up? Or is just situated on the border of Sanderson fans and Magic: The Gathering fans who actually read the lore so that no one has actually read it? Thoughts? edit: took me like 6 min to find an epub file of it because apparently all the free pdf versions were taken down despite the fact that it was supposed to be free online whether they made a physical book out of it or not Edited July 9 by Mystic

It's been discussed in the forums - but mostly when the story was new: Children of the Nameless release CotN Replacing Mana with Investiture CotN Questions CotN Sample Chapter But like many of the one-shot novellas (First Born, Perfect State, etc.) long time fans don't have much more to say so the topic doesn't get much discussion until/unless a new fan brings it up. 8 hours ago, Mystic said: I was wondering if I should It's not a bad story and there is no reason to not read it - but some of the worldbuilding may take adjustment for non-MtG players, because it is meant for people already familiar with MtG in general (thoguh not heavily so) and Innistrad in particular. Hope that helps
