SpiritOfWrath he/him Posted June 29 Posted June 29 (edited) The setting is a dark military zone in the middle of the Eternal War. It is not humans that you fight. You fight Fear itself. Alright, these are the signups for the roleplay of the the same name. The rp will be Sci-Fi/Fantasy/Horror, in the same universe as the Great Spirits, focusing on Fear. You’ve been either drafted or enlisted, and you can make your own background. It’ll be steampunk-modern, and there’s been a famine for some time. Spoiler IMPORTANT: I didn’t want to reveal this yet, but! I should. Each character is created only once they enter the war zone. Any memories from before are fabricated and given to them upon creation by some mysterious entity. This doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t make backstories, but that the details and worldbuilding leading up to it is entirely up to you. Don’t worry—I still have plenty of worldbuilding to uncover during the roleplay. The structure of the army is divided into specialty units which will be explained upon your arrival—I will warn you, it’s not like any old army because y’all ain’t fighting any old thing. Characters: Spoiler After hearing the concerns of the many, I’ve added classes of soldiers. You will have two classes, one major and one minor. Your character won’t have foreknowledge of this, but I’m putting the list here. Major Classes: Pugnator (A close range fighter that breaks down enemy defenses and excels in single combat.) Eroculus (A longer ranged fighter, capable of striking enemies from afar.) Psytarol (A specialist in the arcane, using the enemies own tactics against them.) Medenom (A healer type, excelling in easing the fear of others and mending wounds.) Minor Classes: Incendiary (Explosions…) Executioner (Take down enemies quickly and effectively.) Hijacker (Weaken and sabotage enemy technology) Precision (Perform harder tasks easier) Edited June 30 by Through the Living Wrath

I don’t have the mental capacity/time/energy/focus to create one right now. (Check the last post in Survivors if you haven’t…)

What other details can you tell me about the world, for the sake of the character? And what’s the Great Spirits? Is it a book or show?

And what’s the Great Spirits? Is it a book or show? Great Spirits is a world where I’ve got a number of other Roleplays—originally from my own writing, though. Uuummmm details The war has been going on as long as you’ve been alive Some greater government called you to the battle Most everything is vague for a reason though (one that will be revealed eventually). You can fill in any gaps for your backstory as you wish.
ParaTulip fae/faer (declines as she/her) Posted June 30 Posted June 30 This sounds neat. Can I play a kind of combat medic who has a decent leadership ability? I rolled this kind of a deal in a 40k RP and it seems like a fun role to step back into. Can you tell me about how the different factions treat their war wounded? Maybe that will help me place this character. Also, what are names like?

Ill add some things to let y’all choose different archetypes of soldiers. Edited June 30 by Through the Living Wrath
ParaTulip fae/faer (declines as she/her) Posted July 1 Posted July 1 Then I so wanna roll with a Medenom whose name is Alder Burroughs. Has a side hussle of diluting and selling pain relieving meds to get food, so he looks only as starved as a normal opiate addict and not one living in a famine. 1

He might even be fed well for a while.

Just keep them in mind—you can even “choose” one, but your character won’t know about it

Eroculus and Incidentary: cause he wants to stay far away from the fighting, and what teenage boy doesn’t like explosions? Answer: one whose factory doesn’t have a lot of them, most deaths are by that one machine. 1
Stardust She/Her Posted Sunday at 04:44 AM Posted Sunday at 04:44 AM I’m in! I’ll have to make a character later, also I have no clue what the background is, but I guess I’ll find out. 1

Through the Living Hope Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago @SpiritOfWrath Iris Sixsmith is an orphan who makes a living by hustling in the streets and is willing to harm or even kill others to protect her own safety and interests. She is stubborn and wary of anyone new, staying quiet and analyzing, calculating her best move. I’d like to be a precision psytarol 1
