Star cries out, running towards Ketek. "What's going on?" she asks, picking him up. "I need answers!" 

For a splitting moment, all light goes out in Shadesmar, and a voice, the exact opposite of Star's own, rings out. It is heard by all in all three realms, Physical, Cognitive, and Spiritual. 

YOU DARE COMPARE ME TO THAT FOOL OF A RADIANT? HOW DARE YOU, VALOR? 

I AM ODIUM. NONE ELSE COMPARE. ALL WILL FALL BENEATH MY GRASP. 

With a final crack of thunder, the lights return.
