[Deception He/Him]

This is intended to be a space for people to just relax, have fun, and recharge from a long day.

In this thread, we will do a roleplay, taking place on the world of Roshar in an alternate reality where (Stormlight climax spoiler)

You can roleplay literally any scenario you want. 

Rules:

• Only play your own character and any spren or companions of that character.
• What happens must make sense and be possible in the world of Roshar
• Plot must be easy to follow without having to read the entire thing. This means no complex and long story arcs allowed.
• Your first post on this topic should include an introduction to who your character is.
• Aim for maximum laughs!!!!!
• NO BORING SPEAKING SCENES. ACTION AND COMEDY ONLY.
  • If I notice too much boring talking I'm throwing in a terrible disaster so watch out.

 

You can play anything from a Dawnshard to a random darkeyes, but NO DUPLICATES!!! Only one person can be the Shard of Odium, or the Nightwatcher Bondsmith, or any other single character role at a time! Your character should probably have a similar name to your sharder username.

My character:

Deception is a human Knight Radiant (elsecaller). He is bonded to Crystal (inkspren, she/her, overly serious). Crystal's words will be in blue to distinguish them from Deception.

 

STORY STARTS HERE:

We are on the shattered plains in the Alethi warcamps.

What a beautiful nice day it is today!

<suddenly, a massive meteor crashes into the camp, knocking everyone out and setting some stuff on fire>

"Ugh... What happened?", asks Deception an hour later.

"You passed out after the sky fell on us", informs Crystal in a completely unbothered tone. 

"WHAT???"

"Ow! My leg. Crystal, go look for edgedancers to see if any survived the... whatever that was... and can heal me."

"Searching now!"

"A survivor is? Are there any survivors?", calls Crystal as she flies around the burning war camp.

Just don't do anything not within your reasonable powers

“No, sorry” Nox flies ahead and looks around

Star groans softly, climbing to her feet. 

"What just happened?" she mutters, stretching her arms. She feels something inside her stirring strangely, almost like power, but she ignores it. She looks around, seeing a spren form in front of her. 

"Hello?" she says softly. "Is anyone there?" 

[Deception He/Him]

Crystal flies back to Deception without acknowledging Star. "A survivor is!".

"Finally! Could you tell them to come over?"

Crystal flies back to Star. "Follow me", she says bluntly with no explanation.

[Through The Living Star She/Her]

Star pulls to a stop, running a hand through her black Alethi hair. "Who are you? What just happened? I'm not going anywhere until you give me some answers!" 

[Deception He/Him]

Crystal turns around slowly. "I'm the spren of Deception, a member of the Knights Radiant. He needs your help; there is approximately a 76.2% chance his leg is broken from the information I could obtain". Then she begins to slowly float away. "Follow me. Do you have any Stormlight?".

Star blinks slowly, processing the information. 13426, the Highspren, bobs alongside her. He glances at her slowly. "Do you?" he asks. "I don't remember anything right now..."

Star rifles through her pockets and comes up with a pouch of spheres, all infused. "I guess I do," she says to Crystal, slightly confused. "Lead me to Deception then, I guess."

Star shakes her head. 13426 pops up beside her. "Something... happened. Wasn't the Contest of Champions supposed to happen today?"

"Oh... It was, yes. I was... trying to make an elsegate. To go and watch. And then... I woke up with a broken leg", says Deception slowly. "Maybe we should get out of here".

Suddenly, a Husked One materializes out of thin air and swings a strange knife towards Star. The knife seems to warp the air around it. Then he pauses, stumbling. "What? Wait. How am I still able to attack you? I thought the contract would enforce peace!", he exclaims. "Oh, well. All the better!". He regains his balance and swings again.

In found themself blinking on the edge of a crater. Shouts were coming from further in, and when they looked up, a Fused and several Radiants appeared to be doing their best to kill each other. "Hey!" they yelled, leaping to their feet and running over, "What's happening?"

Star instinctively inhales Stormlight, lashing herself away from the Fused. She summons 13426 as a Shardblade, holding it out wardingly. "What's going on?" she asks.

In steps rapidly away from the Shardblade, humming to the Rhythm of Agony (equivalent of Anxiety). "Unclear. Why are you here?"

In jumps back again at the appearance of the Shardblades, then turns to the Fused, angrier than usual and speaking to the Rhythm of Irritation. "Why are you here? Who sent you?" It was all fine!

Star lands lightly on the ground, dismissing the Shardblade. 13426 appears next to her as a crack in the sky. "Is there any reason why you are attacking us?" she asks the Fused, ready to resummon her Shardblade at a moment's notice.

"Why are you here?", yells the Fused. "The wrath of Val- I mean - the completely random meteor should have killed you all!". The Fused swings the knife at Deception, who quickly soulcasts a brick out of the air to block it, then jumps away.

Crystal flinches. "I think that knife is anti-stormlight..."

The Fused begins to chase Deception.
