It's Hoid. Hoid is the Vessel.

Hoid resists, but the dishard forces him, just to make it worse.

That is likely a IoTE spoilers, plus we don’t know where to put that in the timeline.

Hoid is unlikely to take up a shard. He had an opportunity at the Shattering, but turned it down.

We know that Hoid was offered a Shard and turned it down. Was he offered a specific Shard?

He was. There is one of the Shards that he would've-- yeah.

No. Someone took his place.

He is also incapable of hurting people because he once held the Dawnshard Exist. I don’t know how his situation would change as a vessel.

Forces him to become a vessel? Shards have a preference for their Vessel, so even if Hoid fit the bill it is unlikely that a Shard could force him to Ascend if it was even possible.

I see any potential, or eventual manifestation of Discord as a shift in the Fundamental frequency that comprises Harmony, brought about in some fashion similar to the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back that is all of the internal issues Sazed as Harmony has been facing.
