The newly-christened Grey Wake went through all the landing procedures and checks required by the spaceport with no issues. The workers didn’t seem suspicious of anything.

“Okay. Voss, take your old ship and get it sold. Take Rio with you. When it’s sold, see if you can buy fuel and food supplies. We’re low on both. The rest of us will go into town and see if we can sell any rugs or tapestries.”

The Twelfth Sister returned to the bridge where the other two waited. The Star Destroyer came out of hyperspace, Thyferra in sight. They would remain out of sight of the city where the Jedi and her crew had landed, taking only a small stealth infiltration unit.

“Apologies for taking so long. I had to deliver a full report. I doubt you have any problems with it, though if you do, I doubt Lord Vader would want to hear them.”

“Copy. Rio, come with me.”

Ryn powered up the ship and eased it out of the Grey Wake’s bay.

“Altridi, come in. I’ve got the ship. You have the money?”

A voice came through his comlink almost immediately.

“Good to hear your voice, Neliv. I’ve got your credits. I’ll transfer them once you land.”

“Appreciate it.”

Ryn brought the ship down a short while later, settling onto the landing pad. A blue-skinned woman was already waiting. As he disembarked, he clasped her forearm in greeting. She clasped his forearm and nodded in return.

“You’ve got the credits?”

“Yes,” she said, producing a credstick. “Here.”

Ryn took it and slid it into his datapad. A soft chime confirmed the transfer, and he allowed himself a small smile.

“Pleasure doing business with you, sister.”

“It’s always good to see you.”

He stepped in and hugged her briefly. She stiffened for a moment before returning it.

“I’ve got business right now,” he said as they separated. “I’ll try to come by when things settle. Might have to leave the planet in a hurry too, though. Don’t worry, I’ll be fine.”

She nodded once, watching him go.

Ryn turned and gestured for Rio to follow. “Let’s go shopping.”

Kevlish nodded. “I don’t know this area. We may need to ask around, unless you know one.”

“I don’t. Let’s go activate my protocol droid. I’m not sure what the language is here.”

He nodded. “I guess…” He hesitated. “I guess that is relevant, yeah.”

“Are you alright?”

“Yeah. Bad memories, I guess.” He half-limped forwards towards where he assumed they needed to go. “Let’s go.”

Protocol droid, eh?

Yep

“Oh! And while we’re there, we can look at your M count and see what’s up with that.”

She pointed and looked backwards from where she was walking. “If you activate that droid, I’ll look at your count. Sound good?”

He got to work at the droid, fumbling with it for some time before it activated.

The droid stuttered a few times before focusing on him. “Oh! Hello! I am S-3PO!”

He smiled. “Hey. We need to find a place to fix or replace prosthetics.”

“Oh! Very well, I can be of assistance. If I may ask, which system will we be navigating?”

He hesitated. “Not sure. Aerith?”

“Thyferra!”

”Ah, the Vratix people! Such an interesting culture! Their own language and various traditions such as-“

“Err… we just need to know the location of a prosthetic mechanic.”

“Hmph.. I see. Very well. I shall navigate us there and translate.” The droid rose from the port.

Aerith sat in front of a data screen, putting her hand over her mouth like she’d seen Master Kenobi do while deep in thought.

Kevlish frowned. “Hey? It’s not that bad, is it?”

He raised an eyebrow. “So it is that bad.”

I can’t remember if he told her he was a clone…

“No, just not something I’ve seen. You do have more midichlorians than your average Qworlkiian, but still not quite as many as Jedi have.”

Cool cool

He nodded. “I think I’d expected that.” Kevlish shifted uncomfortably. “Because of my… unique… background…”

“It’s alright. Just thinking, though. You’re technically below the Force-sensitive threshold, but you still have enough that you may be able to do something with training. And maybe once those legs are fixed, you’ll have quick enough reflexes to do well with a lightsaber.”
