A shocked sound escaped from her mouth.

Hey, it’s alright. Don’t worry.

They rounded a corner as they continued walking.

Adventure time?

She waited for something to happen and listened to Elan talk.

Elan was a yapper.

…So that was when I ran into a drunk polar bear. Man, the thing could cuss. But it turns out giving it stale chocolates as a housewarming gift was, in fact, a good idea. The thing let me by no problem.

Finally, something happened.

They were attacked by a gang of pirates.

She squeaked and hid behind him.

You're the armed one and I get to be the human shield? Elan sighed.

"I be the not so infamous platinum blonde beard!" A man who looked like the leader shouted. "And I do be here for yer treasure!"

"Uh... we have no treasure." Elan attempts negotiation.

Her shaky hand held the dart gun to Elan.

Elan took it. Thanks.

He blew into it, and darts shot out like grapeshot. The pirates all fell over twitching. He looked at the dart gun with raised eyebrows.

”fancy.”

Hjeuth eventually found a door that led from the library, he casually opened it, wandering through, there was a grand hall, tall pillars of marble lined the hall and vaulted ceilings painted with murals that looked abstract but vaguely familiar

Ayre managed to land on her feet, while her forgotten self was not so lucky. As she took in her surroundings, Vara got up, rubbing her head. "You did that on purpose. You're trying to get me all beat up." Ayre shook her head without looking towards Vara. "Nope. I didn't know about that doorway."

"How many passages do you have in that room of yours?"

"A few. I don't usually use any of them."

"Seriously? What do you do all day?"

Ayre shrugged, then frowned, looking around a corner. She signaled Vara to be quiet. Vara didn't understand. "What are you trying to say here? Is that supposed to be rude?" And then she got it, seeing the body lying flat on the ground, stuck with silvery darts. There were others further along. "Come on," Ayre whispered.

"This is more like it," Vara muttered, cracking her knuckles, earning a glare from Ayre, who shushed her again as they crept forward.

Hjeuth kept walking through the hall. He found one painting in particular that he liked; he didn't know what it was of or what it was called-he couldn't read. But he took it and put it under his other arm. Still carrying the books, but with the addition of the painting, he kept going on.
