gpd7164 Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 I had no idea where to post this. My wife gave me a hardcover copy of way of kings and I would like to know if its a first print. Its my first hardcover and I plan to treasure it and start following Sanderson more. Any way to know this?
Shivertongue he/him Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 Look inside the front cover, on the page opposite the acknowledgement. There will be a bunch of information, but around the bottom it should say which printing it is.
gpd7164 Posted June 10, 2012 Author Posted June 10, 2012 (edited) It doesn't state any printings. There are numbers though. 0987654 Nvm. I guess its a fourth. Edited June 11, 2012 by Windrunner Please don't double post, you can edit your original post instead
Aethling he/him Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 They must have flown through printings. I got mine week of releas and it ends in 3. That might also have to do with why a considerable portion of the book is bound upside down.
PeterAhlstrom he/him Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 If you have a book with a binding error, you should be able to exchange it at any bookstore that has a new copy. They return it to the distributor for a full credit. There were three printings done before release day.
Aethling he/him Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 Nah, I think I will keep it. It makes it different.
Gotssclh Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 so if the number line is 0987654321 its definitly a first printing??
Chaos he/him Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 I'm moving this topic to Stormlight Archive, since Other Stuff is for short stories and such.
