I have ADHD and I'm listening to the novella in Arcanum Unbounded with Lift. I see some traits of ADHD in the way her mind wanders frequently and she is almost constantly moving. Her brain also filters some of what Wendell will say to her into nonsense and will think instead about random topics like food or people she met earlier.

One of my friends had pretty severe ADHD, and she sometimes asks and says somewhat ridiculous things, but Lift sometimes does that too. At the beginning of Edgedancer, she says some  rather *cough cough* interesting things that show how she thinks in a different way. She also seems to be kind of impulsive when it comes to what she wants, like how she wanted to stay the same until her mother comes back. (As you can tell, Lift is my favorite character)

I'm a person with that, and I've been drawn to the Edgedancer oaths since I first read her chapters, and I've thought about how those things might be connected. When you're not paying the kind of attention the situation allegedly calls for, you wind up noticing and giving a moment to things that other people don't.

I also have extreme ADHD, and when I'm off my meds it can get pretty crazy. While I can't say that I can relate to her strongly, I can definitely say I can see what your meaning and agree.
