Ceru now on his feet dashes after Stylan catching up easily due to the limp and tackling him to the ground attempting to get within the range of the club so that if he swings it it will most likely hit him to, he tries to get Stylan in a chokehold (with the arm with his dagger in it across his neck) kicking at his injured leg as well.

Ok makes sense

Stylan begins to panic, but then he clears his head. Everything seems to slow down to his eyes. He reaches into his pocket and withdraws the rest of his rosite spores. He flicks the top off.

"If you make a single move, I dust us with these, and we both die."

His nerves are taut, and he readies for a move from ceru. He will not hesitate.

Eventuri stops behind Stylan and takes a nervous step back. He grabs another mostly useless handful of dirt from the ground. He's terrified, but with the beating of his heart, he feels....

Excited?

I can see why Ceru enjoys this.

"Ceru... Don't make us do something we're going to regret."

Ceru growls and lets go pushing him off of him, and stands

Stylan let's out a sigh of relief, and recaps the vial. Then he slumps in exhaustion.

"You may feel this adrenaline when you fight. Many do. They used to have a name for it, back in the times when there were still resistants against the Capitol. At least, more vocal ones. They called it the Thrill." Eventuri's voice cracks. "Stop killing. It is of no benefit to us." he pauses, thinking for a second.

"There's only one way more than one of us gets out of here alive."

Obviously GMs aren't letting me do this a second time, I am aware of that.

I think Eventuri is the kind of guy to at least give it a shot though.

"We have one chance, Ceru." Eventuri lowers his voice to a hushed whisper, in case of Gamemaker observers. (Even though they can 100% still hear him, this is entirely futile.) "We need all of us alive for this to work. I studied what happened the last time, and I've found the conditions we need for this to work. But we need people alive. If you keep charging off at people, not only do you quite literally kill them, but you alienate every spectator to what's going on. The people watching the games at home, they won't be inspired by this. What inspired them that day, so, so long ago?"

Even was not alive during cosmere HG. He just likes books. Just some clarification.

"They had allies on the outside. They changed the minds of everybody on the outside. When they managed to swear radiant oaths from within the arena, they showed more honor than most people outside the arena." Eventuri glares as Ceru, a fire in his eyes.

"Run. Drop the dagger- stop the killing. Stop the bloodshed. Leave Cherise on the ground and run, because this isn't of benefit to anybody. If anybody is deserving of wielding a weapon, its the one who doesn't know how to use it, and the one who won't use it. A fight isn't something you should be seeking; War, a fight, a kill, should be something you are ever prepared for and never have to truly do. As soon as fighting breaks out amongst us, we're all dead."

Stylan turns his head toward Eventuri, pain radiating from his leg. As he listened, he washed out his cut with some water and tore off the strap from his sling as a bandage. He tied it around the wound, and stood back up, tenderly.
“I agree. I would rather not become a killer here, if not absolutely necessary ”

Rayer nodded.

"I, too, agree."

Oh wow I'm bad at counting. How the heck did I pass math?

Yeah Eventuri is older than 9, unsurprisingly.

He still would have read about the previous games in study before the reaping, and then, dependant on the lore here maybe for the training arc afterwards but I'm pretty sure that didn't happen.

So really that quote box can be ignored and the thing still (Mostly) makes sense.

There is a mechanical click behind Eventuri's right ear followed by a voice, only a whisper. "This is all very honorable of you but we all know why you're here. If you want to leave this arena alive then you will have to kill. Lucky for you I have a incentive, get yourself a kill and you will be rewarded with spores that will become very helpful in the near future." There is another click and Eventuri hears nothing more.

Stylan batted away the spore and dodged back, away from the knife. He started running around, limping, dodging away from ceru.

"Can I get some help here?!!?!" He shouted to @Ookla the Tachyon@Ookla The Blazing Lion@Ookla the Lotus.

[EDIT: Wait sorry for some reason I missed all the other posts after this. You can ignore this.]

[I guess Caerin is just there and has watched this all occur.]

Rane sighed, charging in with the spear to try and intervene. He needed to fight. He needed to make his grandfather proud.

Rane rolled into a crouch, letting his spear go. His grandfather's words came to mind. When you're on the ground, drop the weapon. Too dangerous. Find a way to recover it next.

Rane got to his feet, watching warily. He still had the canteen, which was weapon enough if he could use it properly.
