Damn. He'd forgotten to keep moving and keep his blade going to feel when someone else approached. He reached under the arm of the shoulder that had been tapped, forming his blade as a large spiked shield behind him, lashing away from it at the same time.

Kansas, behind him, already had his Blade summoned as a shield just in case. He grinned beneath his helm. "I've wanted to pull the Loki trick for a while now."

"Yeah, good one!" Kyo lashed himself at Kansas at 15 lashings, resummoning his blade as a rondel, and grabbed onto him

Kansas Lashed himself downward several times, and then floated up after Kyo, readying his Blade

Kansas slowly floated forward, then stopped and took a somewhat kendo-ish stance, though in the air it was somewhat modified. He held the Blade before him in two hands, level to the ground.

Kyo settled into something like nebenhut, Sword held to the side and pointing back,  one hand near the guard and one on the pommel. Waiting for Kansas to try and strike.

"al_Lan watched the fight for a little while, sitting on his Soulcast Bronze throne, and then decided to join in. With a wave of his hand, he Soulcast the air around the fighters into oil, and then smashed his forearms together, Plate forming around them. Sparks flew, and the oil caught fire.

Kansas grinned as he saw the oil appear and suspected what was about to happen. He used the distraction of the flare of flame to Lash forward, aiming for a quick cut—almost a stab—toward Kyo's helm.

Kansas just stares and smirks, reaches out and catches the Blade mid-sweep, repairing the heavy cracking of the Plate with some Stormlight. He swings the Blade around with the other hand toward Kyo's wrist.

[huh. I suppose with plate enhanced structure you could catch it with only major cracking and minor injury to you. didn't think of that]

Kyo cursed. he had forgotten that armored enemies would catch swords. He brought his arm up and took the hit to his forearm, and simultaneously reshaped his blade to a Bec de Corbin, and lashed (26 lashings) himself toward Kansas feet first, using his leg to brace the one handed thrust to his chest.

Kansas canceled all his Lashings, dismissing his Blade and resummoning it as a Shield between them. He let the strike spin him as Kyo flew above him, and then reset his Lashings and his Blade, swooping after Kyo with his Blade extended like a lance.

Kyo sucked in more light and shut his eyes. Skye! Tell me what's going on out there. I can't use my eyes for the next bit, I don't think my healing can keep up. 

He grabbed the bec de corbin in two hands and twisted, reversing his lashings to 56 in the other directiong, draining almost all the light he was holding, as he twisted in the air and flew back at [...checks notes] 658.11 miles per hour per second, back into Kansas.

Knight... You he's on the run a bit. I wouldn't normally suggest this, but maybe more speed? 

Hell yeah! Kyo pushed a Bubble of adhesion out around him to make a vacuum, negating air resistance. Then just piled the lashings on, feeling his blood vessels burst over and over and his bones start to crack under 100 lashings. [100 Earth Gs of acceleration, 2, 194 mph/s, 7, 898, 400 miles per hour] To stab Kansas.

Kansas decided the time had come. He let go of his Shield, keeping it in place to block his actions. Then he Looked into that other place, widened the gap, and fell through. He waited a beat, and them came back out.

[I don't think Lightweavers can transport their physical bodies into Shadesmare, just their mind? What Shallan did was a manifestation of her consciousness while her body stayed in the PR. Could ask @al_lan_mandragoran to elsegate you through though? happy to be corrected if I'm wrong.]

[would you be fast enough though? 7.9 million mph and accelerating? Could any human dodge that without a conflux of investiture to slow time? If you were a steel runner or slider, it could happen. but idk about raw reflexes. 

This also means that I cannot change my course of action and will likely run out of Light before the fight is done and not know where I am when I stop, or how long it will take to heal.]

[Even with Stormlight, could you accelerate that fast without just dying?]
