Hi there, I've browsed theories and posts on this website before, but now that I am almost done reading the cosmere, I figure I will be here a lot more often. I've read pretty much every book, novella etc. in the cosmere now except for some of the non-canon books like Dragonsteel Prime and Way of Kings Prime, and I also haven't read Yumi yet. I absolutely love the cosmere though and have started taking notes about topics i am interested in.

Honestly, I was drawn to this place for the same reason as you, except I really just come here when I'm bored with my online classes. Yumi is a great book and I find that it does get quite confusing at some points. Anyway, If I had to ask a question

What planet would you want to win an all out cosmere war?

Welcome!  I'm relatively new as well, and it has been very welcoming.  I haven't welcomed anyone before, but I'll do my best with a question:

If you could have anyone in the cosmere as a teacher to teach you their Invested Art, which Art would you pick and who would be your teacher?

Thanks for the warm welcome guys, I feel like I'm living inside an illusion world perpetuated by the Father Machine that makes the ground and environment extremely 'warm'. Yeah so... I may have read and finished Yumi and the Nightmare Painter in 2 days. It was freaking amazing, probably my favorite of the Secret Projects, maybe even my favorite cosmere book other than the Stormlight Archive books.

Okay, to answer your questions, first What planet would I want to win an all out cosmere war? I think I would want First of the Sun to win since they are kind of one of the planets joining the "war" late in the game. I have a special love for Dusk, and find the culture of the trappers to be really interesting. Plus it seems sort of poetic that the people who's whole motto is to survive would survive the war, you know?

What is my favorite tree? Thats a tough question, if we are talking about like species of trees, I would say Cherry Blossom trees since they are just so beautiful. If we are talking about like a tree from anything like real life, a story etc, I would have to say either the White Tree of Gondor (since it as a symbol is awesome), or the Yarukiman Mangrove from One Piece which is the collection of "trees" that make up the Sabaody Archipelago.

I hadn't heard about Aether of Night until now, but I will have to check it out! I'm assuming that it is sort of a precursor to Tress right? Like how Brandon recycled the Shattered Plains from Dragonsteel and put them in Stormlight?

Finally, if I could have any invested art teacher teach me I would probably choose Vasher. I think he is a really interesting character that I want to learn more about, and I also think awakening is a really good invested art to learn since it is kind of a more general application of investiture manipulation in my eyes. Seeing as "awakening" in space age becomes a broad term for non-alive objects receiving some level of sentience or sapience, I think learning breath awakening would give me a good head start going into the space age.
