Heya- so I'm feeling a bit bored, and I think we should all get together and make a world! And Magic system! For an eventual world, of course.

Do we have ideas?
(feel free to put them on this doc, just make sure to use the right google account)

There are massive beasts called Gods that roam the Cursed Lands. If you capture a god, you become a Cursed, who have the ability to Curse things, and curses are actually just enchantments. Forare.

This shall be idea one.

What happens if you kill one? Turn their scales into armor and the teeth into swords? Monster hunter style.

I don't love the idea of just reusing a magic system from another thing

Hm. I agree…

Okay

How about this?

Theres a fountain of {insert some magic liquid} at the “center” of the world.

People can drink from the fountain, and earn partial immortality (No old age death)

The magical liquid isn’t useable until someone drinks from it.

But then there are others, who would hunt these immortals and take advantage of the magic in their blood through death and blood sacrifice. (Step 1: Extract blood. Step 2: Apply to some object. Step 3: That thing is now special.)

I do like that quite a bit. Do they still age or no?

Does each imortal have different properties?

It might depend on the immortal.

it could enable sudo-reincarnation (they age, and when they die of natural causes, they are reborn. But if ya kill ‘em, they’re dead.)

Maybe

perhaps

I feel like it should be standardized, what kind of immortality they have. Do they have any kind of Healing factor are they just as squishy as we are.

Well, when they die, they bleed

and their blood is magic

and the crown can insta kill anyone always

Hmm

I think they should be just as squishy as we are

Should they get super magic abilities?

So we got blood doing magic....

What if you drink this blood to become immortal?

Think so.

Unless we want to be like.... occultists who use it in rituals

Ooohhh

is the liquid from the fountain the blood of a dying magic thing?

Like - the thing won’t die until millions of years later, but it’s just there, bleeding out.

How do we want to handle the cultural aspect? Like - who controls access?

or we could-suggestion-not have a fountain?

cause in my magic system, the gods die imediatly when the bleed.

But we could have made it so that Forare had enough blood to store in the fountain

YES

YES

What if...
All (This is a lie) the Gods have been killed, and their blood has been drunk. The immortals reign with divine, godly powers, many as cruel tyrants, as the blood of the divine was not meant for mortal hands. Those power-hungry enough to wish for their own immortality must drink the blood of these new immortals. A little bit will grant magic- but all of it (enough you need to kill them) will turn you into an immortal yourself.

Possible idea: one magic system (maybe based from one of the gods? Or another set of gods) where it is based solely upon the wielder's morality; they may perform almost any action they feel to be right

Second idea: magic requires balance, possibly retributive god. Magic automatically reacts to harm, correcting balance

I think we should either have the gods  each represent an concept (War, justice, ect) and have the magic granted go off that, OR we should keep the magic system small.

I agree. More intresting that way.

So, would we like to go with this?

Or does anyone have better ideas? @CoderDrag0n8 @Sherma Main @ChickenBonanza (I saw you...)
