cradle Cradle RP (The book series) Sign up. You don't have to have read it

So umm, I was browsing the RP section, and I decided that I should make one. I don't know if this is such a great idea, but anyways, this is an RP based off the world "Cradle" in the series "Cradle". This is gonna be based kinda loosely, cuz most people probably don't know anything about Cradle

So uhhhh... for anyone that hasn't read cradle, it takes place in a world that is basically a videogame, you can level up and become more powerful and whatnot. Restarting, uhhh... Every single person in Cradle has access to a power referred to as the sacred arts. It originates in your core (Basically your soul, but it carries magic called Madra) You can 'level up' by expanding your core various ways, including Cycling (basically stirring your Madra over and over and over and over, kind of slow, but necessary for beginning levels) and absorbing Aura (Magic in the world, or Madra in its natural state). When you first absorb Aura you have to be Copper (level 2) and you type of Madra permanently changes to that kind of Madra, you cant change it. 

 

Now im gonna explain the levels. The basic level, starting level is called the foundation level, or Unsouled. The next is called Copper (each level you get gives you a bonus besides you Madra levels increasing) the bonus for copper is Aura sight, and also ability to absorb Aura. The next level is Iron, which strengthens your body, depending on what type of Iron body you get. The next is Jade, which allows you to detect the Madra of others. After Jade is the gold phases. First gold is Lowgold. Lowgold gives you the ability to bond with a remnant (Dead person or animal) to gain a goldsign. After that is highgold. Highgold doesn't offer any extra benefit, just greatly increases Madra stores. After that is truegold, which allows you to prepare for the next level in a few ways. The first is opening your soulspace (allows you to hold stuff inside your core) The second is getting soulfire which allows you to enchant and strengthen objects and you magic attacks. The third step, the one that triggers the next level is your underlord revelation. its basically just finding out Why you do the sacred arts. The next level is underlord, and the benefits are the stuff I said earlier. Then its Overlord, which gives you better control of your soulfire. After that it's Archlord, which allows you to begin becoming a sage or herald. You become a sage if you manifest an Icon, which is just a theme based off your experiences. It also gives you authority (basically just power to tell stuff what to do). To become a herald, you have to merge with your remnant, and it gives you more physical power. After that is a Monarch, Which is both a sage and a herald. I dont think we should go past that, cuz thats to advanced, but maybe later?

Oh yea, also, its gonna start in the blackflame empire, right after the events at the ruins, except that linin died from the sandviper venom and Eathen left to where he came from. so basically, if the series ended at the end of the second book.

yea, but then lindin still would have come. I guess we could do it before, but then when the time comes, Suriel never saved him

I think it’d be very wholesome if Suriel still save him, but didn’t let him keep his memories, so he’d live out that potential life she showed him, as a fun little background element.

Wait- the cradle series is just a cultivation story with a fresh coat of paint? I've heard such good things about it.

Anyways, you guys should make characters if you are interested, or even if you aren't. I wont get mad if you sign up then never do it.

I am fairly sure that there would not be enough of those interested in Cradle to form an RP with a respectable number of participants, but y’know, it’s a cool concept.

if this one were to do so, i would probably make an Akura, very cool (i can absolutely be trusted with exceptional capability).
